Athletic Brewing Company was launched by Bill Shufelt and John Walker in 2018. Their goal (which they arguably were very successful at) was to give the world non-alcoholic beer that tastes like real beer! Their beers have won numerous tasting awards and the company’s growth has defied all expectations.
THE FLAVOR PROFILE
Aroma suggests citrusy, floral hops with a biscuity malt backdrop reminiscent of the mashing process. Clean, light and dry with a slightly hoppy character riding crackery malts.
CATEGORY DESCRIPTION
Non-Alcoholic beer (or sometimes “Low-Alcohol beer”) contains little or no alcohol content and aims to reproduce the taste of beer while eliminating (or at least exponentially reducing) the inebriating effects of standard alcoholic brews. Most low-alcohol beers are lager, but there are increasingly more ales hitting the market.
