WLRH 50th Anniversary Kick-Off Celebration

Fifty years ago, Huntsville built its own public radio station. Now, WLRH is celebrating 50 years on the air!
Join WLRH on Tuesday, October 13, at The Electric Belle at Stovehouse for an evening of local music, community, and a look back at five decades of broadcasting, kicking off WLRH’s 50th anniversary year.
WLRH signed on October 13, 1976, as Alabama’s first full-service public radio station. Celebrate with WLRH as it launches a year of special events honoring its history and looking ahead to the next 50 years.

7:00 p.m. — The Dawn & Jason Duo
8:00 p.m. — Michael Goldsmith Band
The evening will also include:
– The premiere of a special WLRH 50th anniversary video
– A proclamation from Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle
– The launch of WLRH’s year-long 50th anniversary celebration
