THE STORY

Minnesota natives Jon and Arlene Malinski first had the idea to start a winery after an insightful trip to Argentina in 2000.  They rightly understood that Argentinian Malbecs had a lot of room to grow, and after years of planning they launched their winery in Mendoza.

THE FLAVOR PROFILE

Aroma suggests home grown blackberry, damp soil, and leathery fruit.  Medium-plus body with controlled tannin and acid allowing for a long, deep finish.

CATEGORY DESCRIPTION

Extremely popular, Argentinian Malbec is an inky, medium-bodied dry red wine with strong impressions of dark fruits on the nose and palate.  This wine tends to have mellower tannins than its French counterpart.  Heavily dependent on where they are grown for variations in flavor, Argentinian Malbec has quickly become a world favorite due to the characteristics that the high altitude climate and soil offer.14
