Yuengling & Son in 1873 after David’s son Frederick joined the company.  Yuengling is the oldest operating brewery in the United States.

THE FLAVOR PROFILE

Clean, toasty malt aroma with a slight floral character from Cluster and Cascade hops.  Medium-light palate that matches the aroma in tune.  Yuengling is where quaffability meets character.

CATEGORY DESCRIPTION

A widely available, sessionable craft beer style that showcases both malt and hops.  Amber lagers are a medium-bodied lager with a toasty or caramel-like malt character.  Hop bitterness can range from very low to medium-high.  Brewers may use decoction mash and dry-hopping to achieve advanced flavors.
